TED TALKS video of the Month
Here is my pick for "TED TALKS" video of the month – New York Gay Marriage: Diane Savino's excellent testimony...
This months video is a recording of Diane Savino's testimony/speech before the vote on Gay-Marriage took place. The bill was defeated 38-24, but it's an interesting speech.
Within seconds of starting the video I found my attention trying to slip away, and checked myself. It's an uncomfortable topic for many of us, but nevertheless important. Intellectually I support Gay marriage, but I'm not so sure about my emotional views. I watched the video, and Diane's testimony is compelling - intellectually - which is really the only consideration this topic deserves, because in our charters and declarations we've already promised equal rights spiritually and emotionally.
Anyway, without further ado...
I started watching the Ted Talks videos a couple years ago. – These videos are some of the most interesting and inspiring material on the web.
I'm not archiving the links, instead, I suggest you go and check out some of the "Talks" at the TED site.
I hope you'll find them as inspiring and as I have.
